This photo was intended to reference the Rosie the Riveter campaign from World War II. The concept is that during that campaign, women were encouraged to leave the home and join the workforce, whereas now, they are not only expected to have jobs but take care of the children, groceries, etc.

This is a photo of my friend Bridgette and her daughter Jocelyn. Taking posed photos of small children is...interesting...I took at least a hundred.

Disclaimer: I did this because my professor is a feminist, not because I necessarily believe it's always true.
